One thing must be said: the kitchen at Ristorante Marcello does not have any regional connotation even if the menu includes many Italian specialities such as the Piedmont steak with green pepper, the Val d’Arno crostini or Palermo-style swordfish. In addition to classic dishes like the first courses from the great Italian tradition, we also offer hand-chopped beef tartare or pounded beef, cold-water fish like the grilled sole or sole meunière, Grissinopoli or breaded bone-in cutlet with breadsticks. If they are in season and a dinner based on oysters or white Alba truffle is requested, it is always Giuseppe who personally does the shopping to ensure product freshness and quality. The kitchen loves to cook by the seasons and our waitstaff knows how to recommend dishes.

Fresh ingredients: the quality that Laura and Giuseppe never overlook

There is much talk about the goodness of fresh ingredients in the kitchen: their origin, freshness and seasonality are the foundation of a genuine, tasty and healthy cuisine.

In an atmosphere of good food such as Turin, Ristorante Marcello stands out for its constant quality and ingredients that follow the rhythm of the seasons.

Rest assured that if mushrooms or truffles are in season, we will not fail to offer them in many possible variations. This is not to mention the pasta, which is fresh, just like homemade pasta. It all comes directly from the well-known Pastificio Bolognese, another historical business in Turin. No less important is the oil and bread ‘sciapo’: absolutely Tuscan!

Laura in the dining room, Giuseppe in the kitchen: when the owners are present

Laura oversees the dining room, while in the kitchen, Giuseppe manages and coordinates a close-knit team that prepares the most varied dishes on the spot. What is the best way to describe it? A Savoy kitchen? No. A studied kitchen? No. A kitchen with just the right flavors in the Italian tradition? That’s it! Great experience in gastronomy and a passion for artisan products, like our homemade desserts, make Marcello a perfectly executed kitchen.

In the dining room, our staff is dedicated to serving you with care and attention and offering you advice on the most appropriate menu according to your wishes. Many dishes are prepared directly in the dining room to be served at the table: preparing a tartare or plating a baked fish is an increasingly rare skill and serving them to you is a real pleasure!
